Default What this website is all about

This forum is dedicated to preserving and passing on true horsemanship. It is focused on methods taught by Tom Dorrance, Bill Dorrance, Ray Hunt, Buck Brannaman, Martin Black, Paul Dietz, and many other talented horsemen. classichorsemanship.com was created to expand the movement, and enable a healthy discussion with those who grew up or have been practicing these methods for years. We hope you join the "Meeting of the Minds" and step into the "inner circle of horsemen" as you continue your education with the horse. Please be patient with us as this website grows, there will be many changes within the coming months and appreciate your patience in advance. If you have any suggestions or comments feel free to post them up and suggest them, this forum was built for you and others, as a result we are always looking for feedback and input. We as well would appreciate it if you passed along the word and helped the site grow. The more people who are exposed to great horsemanship, the better world we can create for horses and riders alike.

I am only a brand new member but so far the site looks great, any site that is in the interest of the horse and true horsemanship is great in my opinion.

Thumbs up G'day

I'm new to this site too, and still haven't taken it all in yet, but it looks terrific.
I'm looking forward to finding my way around here and I'm itching to tell all my horsey mates about the Classic Horsemanship Group.

I'd like to see you hold out a hand to the European riders, yes , most of whom ride English but that does not exclude them from following the principles of Natural Horsemanship.
A horse is a horse - whatever type of saddle it wears on its back.

Default Are you familiar with Harry Whitney?

I was just curious if you supported Harry Whitney's teachings? Have you even heard of him? I'm not sure if his teachings are similar to the other teachers you've mentioned.

I was just wondering if anyone would have interest in adding a for sale section for traditional equipment and horses for sale??
