Default "New" Saddle

I just swapped for a Ben Tarrell saddle, wondered if anyone reading knows him or about him or Ray Holes, who he apprenticed under. ??

Let's see a picture of the saddle.

Or at the bottom of the page click the "Go Advanced" button. This will open up a reply screen, as you scroll down under "Additional Options" there is a button that says "Manage Attachments" this will allow you to choose a file from your computer and upload it.

Thank you. Hopefully, this post will include a snap of the saddle.

I like it, looks like it has a nice seat on it and will keep you well balanced. You should "stick" in that saddle well. The only problem I see is that it isn't on a horse...

That's how I've found it, Cattleman. I sit lower on the horse in this one, and it keeps me centered, and feels great. Don't worry, it will spend all the time on a horse that I can manage !

I'd still like to know if anyone knows anything about Ben Tarrell or Ray Holes, though . . .

I don't know anything about Ben or Ray other than the things I learned from briefly googling there names. It looks like they are local guys from Idaho. But looks like a handy little saddle, that should work well for you.

Thanks for the thought, Baquero. Apparently Ben is still alive in Fruitland ID (?) at 90 years old. Ray passed away many years ago, but I understand his descendants still run a saddle shop in Grangeville.

Since posting, I've run into a couple of guys who know their work, apparently their saddles are well thought of, and I'm liking this one a little better each time I ride it.
