Default Jeffrey Mundell's Hackamore Colt

I received permission from Jeffrey Mundell to post this video of him riding his hackamore colt. In my opinion this video shows a lot of great horsemanship and why this method works. If you can get past the lighthearted commentary from his cute daughter. You can see that this is only this horses 2nd ride, and yet Jeffrey is already getting a stop and backup out of him. Notice the feel that he is presenting to the horse, he is using signals not pulling on the horses face. By presenting this type of feel this horse is becoming soft in the face and shouldn't brace against a rider, in the future. (a common problem with many horses today) Look at the expression on the horse, for only being the second ride this horse was never troubled and is on his way to a nice future. Jeffrey maybe you can comment on the horse and it's progress, a little bit about what to watch for in this video and what you are trying to accomplish on this second ride.

You should also post the first ride on this horse. It's a good example of how to ride a horse and NOT get it to blow up.

Who sings that song I have heard it before. Got job with starting that horse. That's the way I like to start my colts quiet on the ground to prevent a blow up in the saddle
