Default Jeff Sanders Vaquero Horsemanship Clinic 8/16 - 8/18

LOCATION: REINSTEIN RANCH, LIVERMORE, CA

We will have THREE CLASSES this year:

Beginner Hackamore class for the horse who may still be in a snaffle, or maybe just starting out in the hackamore, or maybe you're just curious about the early California tradition of Vaquero Horsemanship?

Intermediate class is for horse and rider more familiar with the hackamore who want to advance and improve softness and responsiveness.

The third class, ranch roping/cow work, is open to both beginner and intermediate students, with preference given to the intermediate students (but we can see about adding a 2nd cow class if we have enough interest to fill two!).

This clinic is Friday - Sunday. Beginner class Friday and Saturday morning, Intermediate is Friday and Saturday afternoon, cow class is Sunday all day. $300 for the two day hackamore class, $125 for the cow class (But ask me about the discount it you do all three days!). We will be serving coffee in the morning, lunch is provided all three days and of course it wouldn't be a Vaquero Horsemanship clinic if we didn't have a super fun boot stompin' Concert and BBQ night! Los Tres Vaqueros (Michael McNevin, Patrick McClellan, Thom Reinstein) have promised to come back this year and Jeff himself is polishing his harmonica skills. so we WILL have the "fourth guy" on stage this year!

Seriosuly folks, this is such a great opportunity to learn about this great tradition.Whether you handle cattle for a living and want a more reliable and willing work partner, or you just want to forge a better relationship with your horse; building trust, teachnig no more than your horse is able to process at a comfortable level. This is your horsemanship! Auditing is welcome at $25 per day. But if you sign up for a class, you are FREE to audit the others!
