It appears to me that everyone is focuses on vaquero vs. buckaroo. Whose style or which saddle is best...hackamore, snaffle, up in the bridle...etc,etc,etc...
I rarely hear or see any focus on the amazing natural characteristics that came with the horses during the Mission Californio period.
What I see are horses bred for mind and body contrary to the original job they were brought here to do, and horseman that are more focused on tack and dress rather than focusing on the amazing animal that the whole culture was developed from. Without the proper equine partner this whole period would never have happened...what happened to the respect and regard for the horse that made it all possible??????? www.ranchodelsueno.com
